The Republican presidential candidate once again talked about the possibility that his opponent in the presidential campaign could be the victim of violence. Donald Trump said Friday night at a rally in Miami that the bodyguards assigned to protect Hillary Clinton should “drop all weapons” and “disarm immediately.” He went on: “Let’s see what happens to her.” The Clinton campaign immediately criticized the remarks, saying they amounted to nothing less than an invitation to commit violence against the Democratic candidate.
Trump made his latest shocking statement in the context of lying about Clinton’s stance on gun control, saying her goal was to “destroy your Second Amendment.” The Republican candidate portrayed Clinton as out of touch with everyday reality in which some U.S. inner cities are “far more dangerous than Afghanistan” but she doesn’t realize because she “lives behind gates and walls and guards.

“She goes around with armed bodyguards like you have never seen before. I think that her bodyguards should drop all weapons. They should disarm. Right? Right?” Trump said as the crowd cheered. “I think they should disarm immediately. What do you think? Yes? Yes. Yeah. Take their guns away. She doesn’t want guns. … Let’s see what happens to her. Take their guns away, okay? It would be very dangerous.”
This comments reflects Trump’s hot head temperament in reacting to any issues in front of him. Hillary Clinton who disagrees with his view that more guns on street brings more violence and to that Trumps basically responds by implying violence against her.
Trump made the statement barely a month after he seemed to suggest gun-rights advocates could assassinate Clinton. “Hillary wants to abolish—essentially abolish the Second Amendment,” he said at a North Carolina rally in August. “By the way, if she gets to pick, if she gets to pick her judges, nothing you can do, folks. Although the Second Amendment people, maybe there is, I don’t know.” And earlier this year, when he accepted the National Rifle Association’s endorsement, he had already suggested Clinton’s bodyguards should drop their weapons.
